I worked for one summer on the Medical Device Coordination Framework (MDCF) project at K-State to implement a new DDS based messaging system.
The work was primarily done in Java. The code is not publicly available at this time.
It was a great experience working with a large codebase and implementing a fairly technical and low-level component.
