Course Structure:

• 7 lab assignments (biweekly)
• 15 quizzes (weekly)
• 5-6 lectures of material per lab assignment
• Final Presentation at end of semester
• In-class grading on due dates

Grading:

• 70% Lab Assignments (10% ea.)
• 15% Quizzes (1% ea.)
• 15% Final Presentation
• Some extra credit available
  (Open House, Programming Contest, etc.)

Letter Grades:

• 90% - 100% - A
• 80% - 89.99% - B
• 70% - 79.99% - C
• 60% - 69.99% - D
• 00% - 59.99% - F

My philosophy: do your work completely, turn it in on time, and you should have no issues getting a 'B'.

Late work: 10% of the possible points will be deducted for each day it is late.
Make arrangements with the instructor if extenuating circumstances arise.

(He really is a nice guy and will help you out if needed!)

Recommended Resources:

• Subscription to Safari Books Online. It should cost around $20 per month ($100 for the semester).
• 128GB+ portable storage device
• Computer that can run VMWare Fusion/Workstation & up to 4 VMs.
